CHRISTS, NFP

CHRIST NFP sponsors children who are orphans or from families with sick parents or single parent families or poor families who cannot afford to send their children to school (because there is no school nearby or because the children would have to work or they cannot afford to take care of the children).

 

Reaching out to students, regardless of caste or religious affiliation, CHRISTS NFP helps disadvantaged students grow educationally, emotionally & materially in the Roman Catholic Church’s spiritual tradition of becoming self-sufficient, living moral lives & helping others in need.

 

CHRIST NFP, for $240.00 per year, provides food, clothing, & medical checkups for the children, in addition to paying for tuition, books, & supplies for the children to attend a highly rated school, that they could never afford otherwise.  It also provides transportation to & from school or housing for those who need it.

 

The language taught in school where CHRIST NFP sponsors children is English, the language of business & education, along with the local language of the state the school is located in.

 

Each state & territory of India determines its own official language.  These states speak different languages, 22 of which are official in India’s 36 different states & territories, depending upon each local government’s decision.    

 

Schools where CHRISTS NFP children attend are annually reviewed by the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese where they are located in, to check out the progress & well being of each of the sponsored children; to see that the funds sent by CHRISTS NFP were received & applied for the individual sponsored children; and to see that the school’s curriculum is not in conflict with the teachings of the Catholic Church.
